Land acknowledgement

The 1000 Islands Master Gardeners live and garden on the territories of the Anishinaabeg, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat. Chi migwech, Nia-weh to the Wendat, the Anishinaabek, and the Haudenosaunee for the generations of caretaking and love they extend to this land, a model for us to follow. We acknowledge the harm of colonial practices on the Land, the Waters and the original inhabitants of this place. We seek to redress these wrongs by helping others come into a healthy relationship with the Land and Waters.
